Available Board and Coordinator Positions for 2023-24 Season

Being a 100% volunteer driven organization, DYS relies on members of the community to step up and help keep our youth soccer program moving along! Knowing this, we are seeking to fill a number of Board and Coordinator positions that will soon be vacant due to expiring terms. Please take a few minutes and review the open positions below and then reach out if you would like to be considered for any.

The club will accept candidate inquiries through the month of June, and in July will transition to a period of community voting (for Board positions) or Board voting (for Coordinator positions). Please know that while past experience in a given area is not required, preference for candidate selection may be given to those with related expertise and to those with kids currently in the DYS program. Any new Board Members or Coordinators must also provide up-to-date Background Checks and Child Safety/Abuse Clearances.

All new Board Members and Coordinators will be finalized in August kicking off either their 2-year or 1-year term, respectively. Unless otherwise noted, all positions are unpaid but are eligible for the club’s 100% registration fee reimbursement policy.

Open Board Member Positions (all are 2-Year Terms)

Club President – oversees all club business and presides at all monthly meetings of the Board of Directors
Vice President – in the absence of the President, oversees all club business and carries out other club duties as assigned by the Board
Secretary – Coordination of monthly Board Meetings, including setting agendas, recording meeting minutes and results of any Board votes.
